Where can I find guidance for privacy officers?

If you’ve just been made a privacy officer, or are looking for information to pass on to someone who has been made a privacy officer, a good starting point would be our Privacy101 and/or Health 101 e-learning modules. These modules cover everything someone starting out needs to know about the Privacy Act and/or the Health Information Privacy Code.

Privacy officers can also find relevant information through a dedicated page on our website. This page includes basic information for new privacy officers. It also has contact information for several Privacy Officers Round Table (PORT) groups. The PORT groups are regional networks of privacy officers who meet regularly to discuss privacy issues independently of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
