Privacy Act & codes

This code provides certain agencies involved in the justice sector with a partial exemption from information privacy principle 12(2), when those agencies reassign a unique identifier to people proceeding through the justice system.

This is the current consolidated version of the Justice Sector Unique Identifier Code 1998 (incorporating Amendments 1-4).  The Code, prior to any amendments, came into force on 30 June 1998.
