Privacy Forum 2021
This half-day event was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Wellington on Friday 14 May 2021.
The final programme for the Privacy Forum is now available here. The programme includes:
- A keynote presentation by the Privacy Commissioner on the first six months of the Privacy Act 2020.
- Discussion about the key changes in the Act and the new enforcement and compliance directions for our office.
- Panel discussions on privacy practices in the rental sector and privacy issues associated with the Covid-19 pandemic.
PrivacyLive forum - Auckland
A PrivacyLive forum in Auckland on Monday 10 May 2021 was moderated by the Privacy Commissioner. The topic of the PrivacyLive forum was The Privacy Act 2020: Six months on, with guest panellists Rick Shera of Lowndes Jordan, Sarah Auvaa of Spark and Sarah Thompson of Air New Zealand.

Privacy breach infographic
To mark Privacy Week, we have published our first stocktake of privacy breach reporting since it became mandatory to report serious privacy breaches on 1 December 2020.
