A woman complained to me that a company delivered packages of incontinence pads and other personal health supplies to her home with large lettering stating what the package contained. She considered that the labels disclosed health information about her.

This appeared to be a case suitable for straightforward resolution and the complaint was notified to the company with the suggestion that it consider prompt remedial action.

The company took the woman's concerns seriously and changed its system for delivering such personal health items. It also offered her monetary compensation.

The woman accepted the company's offer and I closed my file without the need to complete a thorough investigation.
