Deputy Privacy Commissioner Liz MacPherson welcomes the appointment of Michael Webster to the role, announced today by the Minister of Justice Hon. Kris Faafoi.

“The OPC team is looking forward to welcoming the new Commissioner into the Office on July 5.”

Mr Webster will be leaving his current position as Secretary of the Cabinet and Clerk of the Executive Council at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet to take up the role.

The Privacy Commissioner is an independent statutory position based on a five-year term.
