Can I request a private room for an interview?

Where an agency is collecting information from you (for instance by undertaking an interview), it should make sure that it isn’t collecting the information in a way which in the circumstances is unreasonably intrusive. What is unreasonable will depend largely on the sensitivity of the information being collected.

We would suggest that, if you have any concerns about how the agency will be carrying out the interview, you get in touch with the agency before the interview to see if they can arrange a private space for the interview. You may also want to ask to have a support person present if that would assist you.
